InPost, which has around 9,000 drop-off and collection lockers in the UK and is often found at forecourts, has teamed up with fashion firm Asos to create the UK’s first nationwide next-day delivery service for lockers.
Asos describes the move as “a major step forward for out-of-home (OOH) delivery in the UK”, with shoppers able to select an InPost locker as their primary delivery option when ordering clothes.
The partnership comes just weeks after InPost acquired Yodel, creating the UK’s third-largest logistics firm in the process, while the locker company recently announced a deal with online pre-owned clothes firm Vinted, becoming that company’s delivery agents over a multi-year deal.
The UK is InPost’s fastest-growing market, and the firm’s chief executive, Neil Kuschel, describes the new venture as “a game changer for out-of-home delivery”. Asos’ David Flavell, says the move “gives customers even more choice and convenience”.
